Dear Mr. King,
Small towns and big dreams, that was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard our school was trying to invite you, Stephen King himself to a place like Sussex.  But my perseverance took over and here you find me, sending a letter to one of the most beloved authors of our generation asking him to place have a visit to Sussex Regional High School.
It would be an honour to have a great creator of art such as yourself in our small town. Although I have not read any of your book, I have been several of your movies, including the Green Mile, which was brilliant beyond imagination. I am also very aware of your talents as an author and have certainly noticed your popularity around out school.
I’ve learned over the years that you have grown up and lived in a small town like Sussex, so I think a trip across the border would be a fun, productive and beneficial trip not just for you, but for the students of Sussex Regional High School who have been asking for your appearance here.  We’ve had book drives and received over 60 of your book in our school library, but that can hardly compare to having you, Stephen King himself in Sussex.
The students of Sussex Regional High and I thank you dearly for taking the time to read our numerous letters and we ask that you please accept our request for you to come visit our great school here in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada
Sincerely,
Keegan

Dear Stephen King,
I would like to start off by saying what a radical person you are!  Your ideas blow my mind and the fact that you grew up in a small town similar to mine, yet became such a renowned writer is extreme.  Our school has been doing so much to try to get you to come.  We have had a book drive to help fill our library with your words of wisdom.  We have been raising awareness of your newest book 11/22/63.  We have banners in the lobby with you on them, Mr. King, YOU!  That is right we have your face hanging in all its glory front and center at Sussex Regional High School.
Stephen, may I call you that?  Sussex is a small town with a BIG history.  We are the mural capital of Atlantic Canada, the Dairy Center of the Maritimes and we are also the Covered Bridge Capital of Atlantic Canada.  We used to be a gigantic train town; we have a large non-operating train station that now serves as a visitor information and an epic ice cream parlour.  All these factors along with a large military history might just be able to give you all the information your mad (in a good way) brain needs to crank another amazing story.
Just taking a walk through Sussex you can smell our Dairy air and check out things like our old school pharmacy and historic buildings like the Jones Place B + B.  Now that place has some stories to it!  But, let me tell you, the owners tell them much better than I ever could.  So you are just going to have to get down here and have a chat with Phil and Deb yourself.
So really, if you don’t come to Sussex you are completely missing out on a extravaganza of epic proportions that would be very exciting for you.  The people of Sussex, LOVE you and we want you.  We would be ecstatic to rack your brain and hear everything you have to say.
Yours Truly,
Madeline

Dear Mr. King,
We really want you to come visit our School.  It is in a small town called Sussex and from what I hear it is a lot like your hometown in Maine.  There are a lot of fans here at our school but I’m not really into horror I’m more of a comedy type of guy.  So don’t take it personally.
Our school has done a book drive with your books now we have about 60 of your in our library.  We also showed some of your movies in our theatres. We also showed some of your movies in our theatres. We also watched a trailer to Show shank redemption in our classroom.  And then of course we are all writing letters to you.
I have watched one movie of yours which was the Green Mile which I didn’t know was yours until I started researching.  Now I want to watch 1408.  I don’t think I would read the books of yours because well, I don’t like reading.
So I hope to see you next year.  I also think you would inspire some of our students.  If you came you would see a lot of happy people and we went through a lot of work to get you here!
Go Red Sox!
Jasper

Dear Stephen King,
I am writing to you in hopes of persuading you to visit our school, Sussex Regional High School.  I’m sure you have already read many letters asking for the same privilege and are ready to change your mailing address, I would be.
Out of honesty: I have only seen one of your movies and never cracked open one of your books, (neither books nor film greatly interest me) but I read your short story “The Women in the Waiting Room”.  I envy your imagination and enjoy your writing style.  As well, I enjoyed your references to Salvador Dali’s painting as I enjoy his work.
Lastly, I would like to say that the Green Mile is one of my favourite movies I have ever seen. It is an intriguing story of the blessings and curses and the cruelty of human kind.  As long as I live that movie will stick in my mind.
Anyway, I guess I should sign off with the point of this letter, the school of SRHS would like to invite you to our school.  I understand you are busy but the school would greatly appreciate your appearance.
Thank you
Joel

Dear Mr. King,
Our school is always trying to get students to read and write better.  Other authors like Beth Powning, Sally Armstrong and Herb Curtis have come to our school to talk to students about the importance of reading and writing.  We would love to have you join this important group of authors.
While you are here you can travel around and see places like, the ice caves, the bluff and our nice covered bridges and maybe include our province in one of your stories.
Mr King, we would love to have you come, you are a popular author of our generation and we would like to meet you.

Sincerely,
Josh

Dear Stephen King,
I’m sure you’ve read a lot of letters from all of the kids at my school, so I won’t write too much.  Sussex Regional High School would be greatly appreciated if you actually came and visit us.  Over the past few months many activities and changes have happened to our school, from posters in our lobby, to having a Twitter page about trying to get you to come.  I think you would like Sussex, it is similar to Maine.
Thank you very much for your time to read this.
Sincerely,
Jaydah

Dear Stephen King,
Up until two years ago I didn’t even know your name.  Then one day my sister came home with The Dead Zone, she said that it dramatically changed her life.  Since then I have read several of your books including Salem’s Lot, The Dead Zone, Pet Cemetery, and the three Dark Towers. The latest one I read was The Green Mile.  My favourite character was John Coffery.  Since the beginning John really spoke to me.  It was so sad when he died; I hoped right up to the end that he would live.  The line with John Coffery’s last tears really touched me.  The ending summed up the story very good even if it wasn’t happy. This book was so good I read it in under a week.  I am almost done Eyes of The Dragons, when I finish I plan to start Insomnia.  I can’t wait for the JF Kennedy assassination one.
Sincerely,
Patrick

Hello Stephen King,
I am a student of Sussex Regional High in the town of Sussex, New Brunswick.  If you have heard of it, I’d really be surprised.  We’re a small town in rural Canada, and our greatest pastimes usually have something to do with cows.  It’s the way we roll around here.  Now I have to say that around here many, many people have had their lives affected by your novels and movies.  It seems that every other book I see someone reading is one with the big, recognizable word “KING” written on the cover, and  a large classroom was filled with students watching 1408 and The Secret Window, both of which are amazing and will never be forgotten by anyone there.  You are one of the most talented authors ever, and I know that both my community and my school would be honoured by your consideration of coming to visit.  Your actual presence: Mayhem
Sincerely,
Jenna

Dear Mr. King,
Once upon a time, in a far away land called “Sussex”, a group of students were terribly distressed.  “If only Stephen King would come and visit us!” they sobbed.  But alas, he never came.
The students held fairs promoting his latest works, watched movies based on his writing, held Stephen King book drives, and even wrote an abundance of letters, all in hopes that he would one day grace them with his presence.
One day, the people of Sussex received wonderful news.  Mr. King had finally agreed to visit their lovely town! They were overjoyed, and celebration reigned! Excitement was everywhere, and preparations for his arrival commenced immediately!
Make this story a reality and we would all live happily ever after.
Sincerely,
Martha

Dear Stephen King,
Hey, I have heard that we want you to come to Sussex.  There are many students and people in the community who have read your books and have watched your movies.  There are so many fans here that it would be a shame if you didn’t come to see them.
Sussex is a little town in New Brunswick, Canada.  It would be the perfect town for a story.  Sussex is a very inspirational place, the people, the landscape, everything here has a story behind it.  Even if you Google Sussex you won’t learn everything about Sussex.  You have to come here to experience Sussex for yourself.
A visit from a man such as your self would change so many people’s lives. To have someone of your stature come here would be amazing.
Thanks for reading my letter,
Jessica

Mr. Stephen King,
In advance I would like to thank you for taking time to read this letter.  My name is Kirsten, and like many in this school, I am a huge fan of your work.  My school is in a small town called Sussex, well know for dairy, a peaceful, relaxing place for a trip.
My school’s name is Sussex Regional High School, SRHS for short.  A beautiful school, very kind and welcoming.  The entire school has been going crazy over your books and the movies they inspired, we have been watching your movies at lunch, and have had a book drive to get more of your books for the students and faculty to read.
We have all been enjoying your works very much, but we would be forever grateful if you choose our school o come and talk about your books.  Your books have brought our school closer together.  Even the kids who do not like to read have taking the time to stop and enjoy your books and it would be a great inspiration for many if you were to come to our school.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter, and I sincerely hope you will consider coming to our school.
Kristen

Stephen King,
I am an 11th grade student from Sussex Regional High School in New Brunswick.  Here in the small town of Sussex, we have taken a great interest in your work.  We have been collecting your books in our school library and we will be having Indigo come to host a book launch for 11/22/63.  Furthermore, we had a film festival, which I attended, at which we watched your movies, “1408” and “Secret Window”.  I had previously seen and loved the two movies.
I am a avid reader and though I have currently never read any of your book, I plan to do so in the future.  I am, however, aware of your great success, and as an aspiring writer, I would absolutely love the opportunity to meet a famous author such as yourself.  Being aware that my school would absolutely love to have you come around next Halloween, it would be a once-in-a0lifetime opportunity for me to meet you, so I would personally find it to be absolutely amazing if you would take my school’s visit request into consideration.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

Dear Stephen King,
People have been talking about you coming to our town, Sussex.  I think it would be a good idea to come because you would hear a lot of crazy stories from the townspeople, some which you could maybe use in your books in the future.  I’ve heard your books are some of the scariest stories out there.  I personally never read one probably because I would like to sleep with my eyes closed rather than open.  I can get scared like you did when you were little, for example I go downstairs to clean the litter box, I always think there is a monster watching me, even though I know there is not.
Hope to see you soon.
Evan

Dear Stephen King,
Our town of Sussex is pretty small, we work hard and play hard.  Everyone knows everyone else and we like it that way.
It would be cool if you came here because you are pretty famous and we don’t get much of that around here.   Congrats on releasing your new book by the way, hope it works out.

Hello from the middle of nowhere,
I wouldn’t blame you if you have no heard of the town of Sussex, located in New Brunswick, Canada.  Before moving back recently, I hardly knew anything about this place.  Although it is a beautiful province, at night it is an ideal place for ones imagination to wonder from place of serenity, to that which may boarder line paranoia.  This fact shows itself on the outskirts of town where every nook and cranny can be thoroughly examined by ones darker outlook.  That is one who knows what most refuse to see.
Even with those who do not or have not read one of your books, there are a many who have and draw inspiration from what they have read.  As one of life’s greater writers, it would be a real treat if you would pay a visit to Sussex Regional High School.  A place filled with minds waiting to be sculpted by one so blessed in a literary sense.

Dear Stephen King,
I’ve never read any of your books yet, but I’ve seen movies based on them.  I like the way you write book in an unorthodox fashion.  I want to read your new released book 11/22/63 because I am interested in finding out what would have really happened if John Kennedy hadn’t been shot. I’ve heard of you for years now but never read anything.  I hope after reading your book I will be more interested in your other novels. Here at SRHS we have had book drives and assembly declared to you.  When 11/22/63 was released in our lobby we sold many copies.  We at Sussex would love to have you here to visit and talk to us about your life and your experiences writing books.  Maybe while you are here you could find some ideas for your next book.
Sincerely,
Bronsen

Dear Stephen King,
I haven’t read any of your books yet, but I love your movies.  I admire how you get the ideas.  We live in a little community called Sussex. It would be a pleasure to have a celebrity in our town as our town is not a place where you see a celebrity every day.  I love the movie 1408 because it was exciting.  Secret Window was good because there was so many twists in it.  We had a book release of 11.22.63.  I think it will be very interesting to read about the life of JFK if he had never got shot in the head that day.  I really do hope you come to our school because I know for a fact it would lighten some faces up.
Sincerely,
Ben

Dear Mr. King,
I haven’t read any of your books, but I watched part of the movie based on your book 1408.  It was good.  I am a student of Sussex Regional High School, from the little town of Sussex New Brunswick.  All the students were asked to write a letter to you, asking if you would please come and visit.  So, if it’s not too much trouble, we would all like it if you come and speak to us.  We have done many things in trying to get you to come, some of those things were, a book release, book drive, movies at lunch and much more.  Everyone has enjoyed doing these things, hope to see you soon.
Sincerely,
Sarah

Dear Mr King,
Although I have not read any of your books, I have watched the movies The Green Mile, 1408 and The Secret Window which are based on your world class books.  I do plan to read some of your books because our library is bursting at the seams with them.  Also me and the rest of the little town of Sussex, New Brunswick thinks it would be really cool idea if you came to our little town.
Sincerely,
Sean
